Flowstone

Flowstone is a partnership between long-time Margaret River winemakers Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald. This project is driven by their passion, dedication, and commitment to forging their path in wine.

Moonmilk by Flowstone

Moonmilk, a type of flowstone, is more significant than it appears. It resembles spilt milk and connects to the moon, medicine, cosmetics, and even prehistoric art. According to medieval beliefs, moonbeams condensed upon reaching Earth and transformed into petrified moonlight inside caves. Moonmilk was also used as face cream by Chinese nobles, a tonic for stomach troubles, and a medium for finger fluting, a form of prehistoric art. Like moonmilk, wine has a simple appearance that belies a complex story of its creation, the terrain where grapes grow, and the human endeavour of making wine. In the enjoyment of wine, its myths and mysteries are revealed.

Queen of the Earth

At the time of discovery, the premier cave of the Margaret River region, Lake Cave, was named Queen of the Earth for its breathtakingly beautiful crystalline formations. This stunning crystal wonderland, located just 6 km from our vineyard, inspires our best wines.
